With social distancing still a priority, we now offer remote games that you can play from the safety and comfort of your own home!
Here is everything you need to know about our virtual escape room experiences (which we also call remote escape games).
WHAT IS A VIRTUAL ESCAPE ROOM?
Virtual escape rooms (or remote escape games) are an online version of the immersive escape rooms we offer at our location. Just like a normal escape room, teams will have to work together to find clues and decipher codes; but, on this occasion, they’ll be doing it virtually!
You and your teammates can play from anywhere in the world aided by your live avatar as you guide them through the physical elements.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
After you make a booking you will receive a link to Telescape and Zoom. Through these two you will have access to your inventory and your live avatar. Your inventory will help you to keep track of what you find during the game and the 360 view of the room will enable you to look around independently.
Your live avatar is in the room equipped with a camera, connecting you with a live feed to the room, they will be able to hear you and talk with you so they can tell you what they discover and complete actions you ask of them.

WHAT TO BRING?
YOU WILL NEED
- a stable internet connection
- a laptop or PC - you can’t use your phone or tablet
- headphones
YOU WON'T NEED
- a shower - one of the benefits of a virtual game is that nobody can smell you
- pants - only your top half will be visible so 'pants or no pants', the choice is yours
I DON'T HAVE ZOOM, CAN I STILL PLAY?
Zoom is a free app that you can download here.
Alternatively, when you receive your game link and click to join Zoom it will give you the option to download the app, however we advise doing this before the game.
If Zoom isn’t an option but you have another preferred video conferencing tool just drop us an email (info@foxinaboxlondon.uk) and we will see what we can do.
WHICH ROOMS ARE AVAILABLE AS A VIRTUAL ESCAPE ROOM?
Currently ‘The Bunker’ is the only game available to play virtually and the Final Exam is coming soon, but we are currently working on adding more virtual escape room experiences and hope to have more ready to play in the near future.
HOW CAN I BOOK?

Payments can be made online at the time of booking. Choose “card online” or “voucher” if you have one. Companies can choose to pay by invoice too. At this time we cannot facilitate on-the spot payments or payments over the phone.
HOW MANY PLAYERS CAN PARTICIPATE?
Each virtual escape room experience is recommended for two to eight players. Larger groups can be accommodated in a number of different ways. We can either runs games consecutively or we can connect with some of our franchise partners across the world and run the games at the same time.

CAN MORE THAN ONE PERSON PLAY ON THE SAME DEVICE?
Of course! Reservations are made for players, not devices. If you have more than one player on a single device, each of those players would require a paid reservation.

WHAT'S THE MINIMUM AGE?
Ages 10 and above is recommended, but everyone is welcome to play. Young players may find the games more challenging but the Game Master will be able to guide them in the right direction and give them more assistance if needed.
